Alpha is a place to ask questions you might be struggling with. At Alpha, you are supported by a group of people who are all here for the same purpose. We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view.
Alpha is a series of sessions, typically running over eleven weeks.
Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed
to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, yet no two
Alphas look the same. Generally, they have three key things in common: food, a talk, and good conversation.
The talks are designed to engage and inspire discussion. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity. They address questions like Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? or How does God guide us?
The most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic and to simply discuss it in a small group. There is no obligation to say anything and there is nothing you’re not allowed to say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
Alpha is all about getting to know who Jesus is and exploring a relationship with Him.
It is a space for people at any stage of their faith journey with Christ – both Christians and
non-Christians. Everyone is welcome!
